Beautifully hand-woven and rich in texture and history, these Chinese harvest baskets are a once-in-a-lifetime find, with their handles still bearing original Hanzi characters painted in ink. Rich in history, the authentic repairs or patches represent a previous life of harvesting and transporting produce to market in rural parts of the Shanxi Province more than 60-80 years ago.
A stunning oriental basket to display simply as it is, or filled with bundles of greenery or blooms. It could also stand in your living room or bathroom, filled with woollen throws, magazines, rolled towels, or laundry, while alluding to your globe-trotting style and sense of adventure.
